Hatha Yaga

Date and Time: Monday and Thursday, 7 to 8 am
Place: Dining Hall, Berkeley Buddhist Monastery
Fee: by donation

Yoga and Buddhism share the same roots in Ancient India, and still thrive today because they are timeless and useful. Although these morning classes will focus on the physical postures (asana), we will never lose sight of the primary goal of Hatha Yoga, which is to awaken consciousness by freeing the body and stabilizing the mind. Yoga, when practiced with attention to shape, safety, and refinement of both body and breath, creates the conditions over time that promotes more vibrant health, a clearer mind, and calm abiding states of meditation.

About the Yoga Teacher

Picture
Fabrizio Alberico has studied Advanced Yoga Therapy at the College level, and in-depth alignment with Darren Rhodes. He teaches Yoga History and Philosophy, offers Yoga Therapy one-on-one, and teaches many styles of classes and workshops, all rooted in unfolding the blessings of being truly present and fully alive. His classes are an opportunity for you to find out how your particular body, breath, and mind move together, while you integrate key alignment and philosophical principles that are tried and true. All this results in a yoga that's just right for you, as you both witness and promote transformation from day to day, week to week, and throughout your lifetime.
